Victoria Falls & Chobe NP (5 days)5 days duration
This morning you make your way to Johannesburg Airport where you board your flight to Livingstone in Zambia. After clearing immigration you are met and taken to your selected lodge or hotel for a two-night stay. The remainder of the day is at leisure. In the afternoon you undertake a 'sundowner' cruise on the Upper Zambezi River during which you have a chance of seeing elephant, crocodiles and hippos.
Following breakfast you are taken on a tour of the Victoria Falls during which you see them from the Zambian side. Later you visit the Mukuni Village, home to the Leya people. There are also a number of optional activites you may wish to consider such as a helicopter flight over the falls. (B)
On Botswana's far northern border lies the Kwando, Linyanti and Chobe River system forming a series of lakes, islands and floodplains. This area forms Chobe National Park, famous for its large buffalo and elephant herds. In addition to a variety of predators, there is an abundance of wild game and bird life which inhabit this beautiful area. After breakfast you are driven to your chosen lodge located adjacent to Chobe. You have time to relax this afternoon before participating in one of the many activities organised for you. (BLD)
Game viewing in Chobe National Park is a unique experience as Chobe is the best place in the world to see the majestic African elephant. In fact, it is home to the world's largest elephant population! Game drives into Chobe are daily or alternatively, choose a cruise led by an expert guide. Cruises along the Chobe River are a wonderful and different way of viewing the game. (BLD)
After breakfast you are driven to Livingstone or Vic Falls Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. On arrival your tour ends. (B)
