Victoria Falls, Botswana & Tanzania Safari (17 days)17 days duration
On arrival in Livingstone you are met and taken to your hotel for the night. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (D)
Today you are driven to the northern part of Chobe National Park in Botswana. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets, with the largest elephant population in Africa living in the region. You may witness huge herds during our game drives and an unforgettable game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. (BLD)
You then continue overland to the Savute Marsh and Savute Channel, famous for its abundance of large predators. This amazing area and its waterholes are explored during your early morning and late afternoon game drives with your guide. (BLD)
After breakfast your camp will be moved to the Khwai flood plains while you continue to explore the ever-changing scenery of the reserve with your guide.
Enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives, we uncover the secrets of this pristine wilderness area in search of the many species of animal and birdlife that make Moremi their home. (BLD)
You make your way to the camp with an afternoon game drive, taking in the changing colours of an African sunset. The following day the channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta are explored on a mokoro excursion with lunch being enjoyed on an island. (BLD)
Later this morning you are taken to the local airstrip for your short flight to Maun Airport where you board your flight to Johannesburg. Normally you experience a very good aerial view of the delta during the flight to Maun.
On arrival in Johannesburg you take the hotel shuttle bus to your conveniently located airport hotel. (B)
Today you catch the shuttle back to the airport where you connect with your flight to Nairobi. In Nairobi you remain in transit before boarding your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport where you are met and taken to your lodge for the night. (BD)
Today you are driven to your lodge overlooking the Rift Valley at Lake Manyara. Here you undertake a game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. This park is located between the wall of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara and is famous for its tree climbing lions, herds of elephants and hot spring waters (Maji moto). (BLD)
After breakfast you depart from your lodge with a picnic lunch for the drive to Serengeti. The landscape of the park, with its low vegetation and vast seas of open plain, is ideal for game viewing.
Famed for its annual migrations of Wildebeest, Zebras and Gazelles, which are tracked by an impressive array of predators sunch as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and Hyenas, you are in for a thrilling few days of game viewing. (BLD)
You spend the day game viewing in this wildlife paradise which is Tanzania's largest national park and one of the largest nature reserves in the world. (BLD)
You say farewell to the Serengeti as you drive to Ngorongoro Crater - one of the Wonders of the World and a designated World Heritage Site. Your luxurious lodge, with its excellent cuisine, has commanding views, probably the most breathtaking in East Africa. (BLD)
This morning you leave early in your game viewing vehicles and descend the 670 metres to the Crater floor below for a fantastic day among Africa's "Big 5" Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo and other wildlife.
Following the visit you drive down the side of the crater to Lake Manyara where you spend the last night. (BLD)
Following breakfast you are driven to Arusha where you have the option of being dropped of at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport. (B)
