Tiahuanacu Ruins Tour (1 day)

1 day duration

Day 1 La Paz - Tiahuanacu Ruins

After breakfast you will be collected from your La Paz hotel and driven to the famous Bolivian Ruins of Tiahuanacu.

Tiahuanacu was the former capital of a civilisation that rose to its peak around 700 AD. During its splendour, the capital of Tiahuanacu was the largest in the world and considered to be “The Cradle of the American civilisation”.

On arrival at the Ruins of Tiahuanacu, you will firstly be taken on a guided tour through the very contemporary museum, where the history, culture and mystery of the ruins will be explained in detail. You are then taken on an extensive tour, walking through the main monuments and the underground temples. You will also see the Gate of the Sun, the Gate of the Moon and a number of monoliths.

After your guided tour, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel in La Paz for tonight. (L)
