Bandhavgarh has been a centre of human activity for 2,000 years and used to belong to the Maharaja of Rewa. It is famous for its tigers but has a wide range of other game as well. After settling in you undertake a jeep safari in the reserve to see what new treasures are to be found. (BLD)

This morning you are taken by road to Khajuraho where you arrive in the mid afternoon. This evening you will be taken for a spectacular Sound and Light Show, providing it is operating. (B)
In the realm of architecture, Khajuraho holds a unique position! The temples here were built between 950 and 1,050 AD by the Chandela Dynasty, who claims descent from the Moon God and a mortal, Hemavati, with whom the God fell in love.
This morning you undertake a comprehensive tour of the Western Group of temples containing some of the finest examples of Chandela Art to be found. Following the tour you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Varanasi, where you are met and taken to your hotel. In the evening you are taken with bicycle rickshaws through the colourful, chaotic, vibrant market area to reach the banks of the Ganges, where the temples will be lit with oil lamps and candles. This light, combined with the aromas of incense sticks, oil lamps and flowers filling the air, will make the experience magical as you watch hundreds of little lamps float out onto the Ganges River as offerings during the Aarti Ceremony (collective prayer). After this spiritual experience you return to your hotel for the night. (B)
Today you undertake an early morning boat ride, during which you will have the privilege of witnessing the incredible scene as thousands of pilgrims and other devotees immerse themselves in the holy water of the Ganges River to pay their homage to the revered Sun God. This is followed by a late breakfast at your hotel, after which your Experience Tour comes to an end as you check out of your hotel and are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
Please note: The Tiger Reserves are closed during the monsoon season, which is typically from June to October. There are good flight connections to Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata from Varanasi.
