Sun City & Palace of the Lost City (4+ days)

The Sun City Complex has always been in a class of its own. Nestled in a valley of the Pilansberg Hills near Johannesburg in South Africa, it is known as the “Kingdom of Pleasure”.

With accommodation to meet most budgets, it offers world-class casinos and entertainment facilities that cater for everyone. Home to major international golfing events, it also boasts various other sporting activities and even a freshwater wave pool and tropical beach which has hosted surfing competitions. To round the activities off you can take a Safari in the Pilansberg National Park, which is located close by.

The complex is made up of four hotels and countless restaurants catering to every taste. The most budget is the Cabanas Hotel, followed by the Sun City Hotel and above that the Cascades Hotel. Finally, the ultimate in luxury, privacy and taste is the Palace of the Lost City

The Palace of the Lost City is one of the most enticing destinations in the world and a tribute to man’s imagination. Fabled to be the Royal Residence of an ancient king, it is truly one of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’. The Palace lavishes its guests with 5-star service and is luxurious in every facet of its architecture and décor. Surrounding the hotel is a 25 hectare botanical jungle, which is threaded with meandering paths, cascades, lakes and pools. 
 

Day 1 Depart Johannesburg / Sun City
 
Following arrival at Johannesburg Airport you are met by your guide and transferred by private vehicle to Sun City, approximately a two hour drive. On arrival at Sun City you are taken to your luxury hotel, The Palace of the Lost City, for a three night stay.

The Sun City Resort has a unique heartbeat and an African rhythm of its own. There are four world-class hotels in the resort. The Palace of the Lost City, where you will be staying, glitters like a jewel beneath the African sun, in its rainforest surroundings and is luxurious in its detail and design.
 
Day 2 Sun City - Pilanesberg National Park
 
Your morning is at leisure to relax after your flights. This afternoon you enjoy a game drive to Pilanesberg National Park which adjoins the resort. It is a beautiful, malaria free park, home to the “Big Five”. An abundance of wildlife proliferates in its diverse and arresting bushveld terrain. (B) 
 
Day 3 Sun City
 
You have the day at leisure to experience the array of activities available at the resort. For golfers you may wish to enjoy a game on the well known Gary Player Course, one of Africa’s best courses (at extra cost). You may wish to visit one of the tropical pools, go shopping in the many boutique shops, dine at one of the restaurants or try your luck in the casino. (B) 
 
Day 4 Sun City / Johannesburg
 
Today you will be taken back to Johannesburg Airport where your tour ends. (B)
