Day 1 Sunday
  Arrive Cape Town
 
On arrival in Cape Town you are met and taken to your hotel situated in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a three-night stay.
 
Day 2 Monday
  Cape Town - City Tour
 
Today's city tour takes in the highlights of Cape Town, which include the Castle of Good Hope from 1666, the Malay Quarter and the magnificent Table Mountain. Here you ascend to the top (weather permitting) by revolving cable car, for a birds-eye view of the city and beaches far below. After descending from the mountain you return to your hotel. (B)
 
Day 3 Tuesday
  Cape Town - Peninsula Tour
 
This morning you enjoy a scenic drive along the Atlantic, with views for the Twelve Apostles, part of Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Reserve. Following the coast, you return via Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a visit. Finally you see Cape Town University and the Groote Schuur Hospital where the world's first successful heart transplant occured in 1967. (B) 
 
Day 4 Wednesday
  Cape Town / Montagu
 
From Cape Town you travel through the Winelands to Stellenbosch, where you have the chance to have a wine tasting. You then travel on Route 62 to Montagu, known for its historic architecture. Enroute you travel via Robertson, also known for its wines. (B)
 
Day 5 Thursday
  Montagu / Oudtshoorn
 
This morning you continue through the mountains to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo. Enroute you visit a community based farm school. Later you have a guided tour of a working ostrich farm. Finally, you have the opportunity to explore the vast caverns of the Cango Caves. (BL)
 
Day 6 Friday
  Oudtshoorn / Knysna
 
Today you are taken through the Outeniqua Mountain to Knysna, via the Outeniqua Pass with its panoramic views of the coastal plain. On arrival you board the Featherbed Cruise and cross the Knysna Lagoon to the western side of Knysna Heads. A tractor then takes you to the top of the Western Head of Featherbed Nature Reserve with its great views. From here you walk through the Milkwood Trees to the boat jetty. Later you are taken to your hotel in Knysna. (BL)  
 
Day 7 Saturday
  Knysna
 
Today you travel to the Tsitsikamma Forest and Mountain Range, via Nature's Valley. Here you visit the Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, one of the largest 'free ranging' sanctuaries of its kind. You return to Knysna via the quaint town of Plettenberg Bay. (B)
  
Day 8 Sunday
  Knysna / Hermanus
 
You travel along the coast to Hermanus, one of the world's best whale watching sites. (BL)
 
Day 9 Monday
  Hermanus / Johannesburg
 
You depart Hermanus and travel via the spectacular coastal road to Somerset West and then to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Joburg. On arrival you catch the shuttle to your airport hotel for tonight. (B)  
  
Day 10 Tuesday
  Johannesburg / Victoria Falls
 
This morning you catch the shuttle back to the airport for your flight to Vic Falls. After clearing immigration you are met and taken to your hotel or lodge for two nights. (B)
  
Day 11 Wednesday
  Victoria Falls
 
After breakfast you are taken on a tour of Vic Falls, seeing them from Zimbabwe. The views from Zimbabwe are better than from Zambia. There are optional activities you may wish to undertake this afternoon. Late today you undertake a cruise on the Upper Zambezi River during which you may see elephant, crocodiles and hippos. (B)
  
Day 12 Thursday
  Victoria Falls - Chobe National Park
 
Today youare taken on a full day excursion to Chobe National Park, in Botswana. On Botswana's far northern border lies the Kwando, Linyanti and Chobe River system forming a series of lakes, islands and floodplains. This area forms Chobe National Park, famous for its large buffalo and herds of elephants. In addition, there is a large selection of wild game and birdlife here. (B)
  
Day 13 Friday
  Victoria Falls / Johannesburg
 
Your morning is at leisure before being taken to the airport to fly to Joburg. On arrival you catch the shuttle to your hotel. (B)
  
Day 14 Saturday
  Johannesburg / Nairobi
 
You catch the shuttle back to the airport for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival you are met and taken to your hotel for tonight. (B)
  
Day 15 Sunday
  Nairobi / Lake Nakuru National Park
 

Following breakfast you are driven to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch you undertake a leisurely game drive which takes you through Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its pink flamingoes. (BLD)

 

  
Day 16 Monday
  Lake Nakuru National Park / Masai Mara Game Reserve
 
After breakfast you depart from your lodge and drive to Masai Mara. Here you will undertake the first of many safaris. (BLD)
  
Day 17 Tuesday
  Masai Mara Game Reserve
 
Today you undertake morning and afternoon games drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game including some of the "Big 5" - Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard which can be quite common. (BLD)
  
Day 18 Wednesday
  Masai Mara Game Reserve / Serengeti National Park
 
After breakfast you depart for the Serengeti in Tanzania, where you have two nights. The landscape with its low vegetation and plains, is ideal for game viewing. Famed for its annual migrations of Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelles and tracked by an array of predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Hyena, you are in for a thrilling few days. (BLD)
  
Day 19 Thursday
  Serengeti National Park
 
You spend the day game viewing in one of the world's largest nature reserves. (BLD)
  
Day 20 Friday
  Serengeti National Park / Ngorongoro Crater
 
You say farewell to the Serengeti as you drive to Ngogongoro Crater, one of the Wonders of the World and designated World Heritage Site. Your lodge here has probably the most breathtaking views in East Africa. (BLD)
  
Day 21 Saturday
  Ngorongoro Crater / Lake Manyara National Park
 
This morning you leave early in your game viewing vehicles and descend the 670 metres to the Crater floor below for a fantastic day among Africa's "Big 5": Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. Following this you drive down the side of the crater to Lake Manyara for a two-night stay. (BLD)
  
Day 22 Sunday
  Lake Manyara National Park
 
Today you undertake a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This national park is located between the wall of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. (BLD)
  
Day 23 Monday
  Lake Manyara National Park / Amboseli National Park
 
After breakfast you are driven to Amboseli National Park, Kenya. Situated at the foot of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for herds of elephant and views of Kilimanjaro. After lunch you have another game drive. (BLD)
  
Day 24 Tuesday
  Amboseli National Park
 
Today you further explore the park. (BLD)
  
Day 25 Wednesday
  Amboseli National Park / Depart Nairobi
 
You have a final game drive before returning to Nairobi. On arrival in you are taken to the airport where your safari ends. (B)
