Patagonian Fjords Cruise (6-7 days)

6-7 days duration


The cruise is 6 days, but it is possible to add an extra day of land excursion. You will then arrive the day before the cruise starts and stay an extra night on board. 
 

Extra Friday
  Arrive Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales
 
On your arrival today into Punta Arenas Airport you will be collected and in the afternoon transferred by bus to the cruise ship in Puerto Natales.

At 8 pm tonight you are invited for a Welcome Drink and dinner on board. (D)  
 
Day 1 Saturday
  Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine NP OR 
Arrive Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales
 
Those who have elected to have the extra day will this morning depart by bus for a tour firstly to the Milodon Cave, then to Torres del Paine National Park taking in the Amarga Lagoon, Torres del Paine, Rio Paine waterfall, Nordenskjold Viewpoint, Cuernos del Paine and Lake Pehoe Viewpoint. You will then return to Puerto Natales and visit Lake Sarmiento before returning to your cruise ship around 6 pm.

Those guests arriving today into Punta Arenas Airport will be collected and in the afternoon transferred by bus to the cruise ship in Puerto Natales.

In the evening you will enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner on board. At 8.30 pm the ship sets sail from Puerto Natales, navigating the Patagonian Channels, Kirke Narrowness, Morla Vicuña Channel and Seno Unión. (BLD) or (D)
 
Day 2 Sunday

During the morning your cruise vessel will continue to navigate its way through the Sarmiento, Pitt and Concepción Channels arriving at Amalia Glacier in the late morning. The cruise ship will travel close to the glacier providing ample viewing opportunities. The ship then continues north, arriving at Antrim Fjord in the early evening. Here the ship will be loaded with fresh drinking water from a crystal clear river. Dinner is on board. (BLD)
 
Day 3 Monday

In the morning your cruise ship will arrive at Pio XI Glacier, the largest glacier in South America. With a surface of 1263 km, the glacier resides within the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, the largest national park in Chile. At midday the ship will set off from Seno Eyre and Grappler Channel to arrive at Wellington Island in the late afternoon. Here you will disembark in boats for a two-hour excursion to visit the village of Puerto Edén. It's first inhabitants were the kaweskar or alacalufes aborigines. The village has no streets, only footbridges. In the early evening the ship will set sails again and navigate through the Paso del Indio and Paso del Abismo. (BLD)
 
Day 4 Tuesday

Today the ship continues navigating through the Calvo Fjord, where you will be able to appreciate four glaciers of different shapes and colours.

Weather and ice conditions permitting, you will make excursions in an icebreaker motorboat right up close to the Constantino, Alipio and Fernando Glaciers. In the afternoon you will navigate through the Peel Fjord to the Brujo Glacier, where you will disembark for an excursion to the glacier rocks as well as a land visit to this enormous mass of ice. Day 5 Wednesday
  Cruise
 
This morning you navigate the Montañas Fjord, where you will be able to see five little glaciers which are heading from the hills to the sea. You will also visit the Bernal Glacier before setting sail from the Montañas Fjord and crossing the Kirke Narrowness. During the night the ship will cast anchor at Seno Ultima Esperanza. In the evening you will enjoy a Captain's Farewell Dinner & Dance. (BLD
 
Day 6 Thursday
  Cruise / Puerto Natales / Depart Punta Arenas
 
In the morning your cruise will come to an end as your ship arrives at the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales. At 10 am you will disembark and be transferred by bus to Punta Arenas for your onward flight. (B)
