Okavango Fly-in Safari (5 days)5 days duration
Your tour begins on arrival at Livingstone Airport in Zambia, where you will be met and transferred to your light aircraft flight to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. After clearing immigrations and customs, you will be flown direct to your deluxe camp located in the Okavango Delta, for a fabulous two-night stay. The camp is a hidden jewel set on the river in the southwest of the Okavango. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, knobthorn and ebony and is home to a myriad of plants, birds and animals. The nature of the habitat means it is perfect to witness the diversity found with the Okavango Delta. (D)
The channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta are explored on a mokoro excursion with lunch being enjoyed on an island. You make your way to the camp with an afternoon game drive, taking in the changing colours of an African sunset. (BLD)
Later today you will be transferred by aircraft back to Livingstone in Zambia, where on arrival you will be taken to your hotel with its commanding views of the Zambezi River. Here you will stay for two most magical nights.
In the late afternoon you may choose to have optional sunset drinks on a platform overlooking the Zambezi River with the spray from the falls visible. While having drinks, a variety of game cam usually be seen including Hippo and Zebra, as well as many species of native bird. (B)
After breakfast you will be taken on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Natural Wonders of the World. This leisurely walking safari will take you through the magnificent rainforest surrounding the falls to where you can view the many cataracts, Livingstone's Statue and a wide variety of birds and plants along the way. During your tour you will see these magnificent falls from both the Zimbabwean and the Zambian sides. Your afternoon will be at leisure. (B)
You will have this morning at leisure before you are transferred to the airport where your tour comes to an end. (B)
