The camp is set in one of the most densely populated Sitatunga and Red Lechwe wetland areas but game concentrations depend on water flow and are seasonal. All of the big game can be found in the area: Lion, Elephant, Leopard and Buffalo. Pels Fishing Owl is a favourite amongst birders, as well as Jacana, which gives the camp its name.
The camp has five meru style tents, each built on a wooden deck overlooking the floodplains and each has an ensuite bathroom with flush toilet and shower. The main dining area is on an elevated deck between two magnificent fig trees, surrounded by wild date palms. There is a cosy bar and lounge, with an area to sit around an open fire under the stars.
