Luxury Explora Atacama Desert Stay (5 days)

5 days duration

Between the Pacific and the Andes lies the Atacama Desert - an immense extension of land and mystery. Ancient mountains, volcanoes and hot springs add splendour to the culture and history of this place.

You can also elect to stay 8 nights or stay 4 nights at Explora Atacama, then be transferred to southern Chile for another 4 nights at the equally fabulous Explora Patagonia in strikingly beautiful Torres del Paine National Park.
 

Day 1 Arrive Calama / Atacama Desert / Explora Atacama
 
On arrival into Calama, in the far north of Chile, you will be met and transferred by vehicle to the Explora Atacama Hotel. Here you will stay for 4 (or 8) fabulous nights. Your all-inclusive days at 'Explora' are tailor-made for you to simply explore these lands.

The Explora Atacama Hotel is located close to the village of San pedro de Atacama, in the vicinity of Ayllu de Larache. (LD+)
 
Day 2-4 Explora Atacama - Atacama Desert
 
These days are free for you to choose which (if any) guided excursions you wish to do. All are included in your stay but the timing and choice are completely yours! You can explore the nature or history of the Atacama on foot, on horseback, by bicycle or by vehicle, accompanied by 'Explora's expert guides. Your discoveries will take you to places with alluring names like Rio Grande, Quebrada del Diablo and Valle de la Luna!

You can either be in the Andes experiencing the wonders of volcanoes, or you can visit the small villages with their traditions and folklore. Almost everywhere you can see the fauna: cameloids and flamingoes. (BLD+)
 
Day 5 Explora Atacama / Atacama Desert / Depart Calama
 
After breakfast today, you will say goodbye to 'Explora' and be driven back to Calama to connect with your onward flight. (B)
