Kashmir & Srinagar Tour (6 days)6 days duration
On arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel for tonight.
This morning you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Srinagar. On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel for a fascinating four-night stay.
You have the afternoon at leisure to explore before undertaking a Shikara cruise on Dal Lake in the evening. The lake is the most prominent natural feature of Srinagar. A unique feature of this lake is the Mirbahri people who trade fruits and vegetables from their Shikaras (small boats) on the lake. (B)
Today you undertake a half day city tour of Srinagar visiting the Mughal Gardens, the Temple of Shankaracharya from 371 BC and also a carpet weaving factory.
Your afternoon is at leisure to further explore the city. (B)
Pahalgam, also known as “The Valley of Shepherds”, is approximately 2 hours drive from Srinagar. It is situated among high mountains, glistening glaciers and dense Pine and Cedar forests. Enroute to Pahalgam you stop at Pampore, renowned for its fields of saffron and visit the beautiful Liddar Valley with its thick forests. (BL)
Gulmarg or “The Meadow of Flowers” is a cup-shaped meadow valley of lush green. On arrival you are taken up the surrounding hills by cable car where you can marvel at the spectacular scenery and have a scenic walk. For those not wishing to take the cable car, you can, at your own expense, play a round of golf on a course which was established in 1890! (BL)
You have the morning at leisure before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi, where on arrival, your tour ends. (B)
