Budget Chobe & Okavango (10 days)

10 days duration

This tour can also be done in reverse from Livingstone to Maun.

 
Day 1 Saturday
  Arrive Maun
 
On arrival in Maun you are met and taken to camp where you spend the night. On this safari you enjoy exclusive sites, no camp duties, spacious dome tents with cot beds and a separate bathroom tent with shower and flush toilet. You will experience Botswana and be "at one with nature". (LD)
 
Day 2/3 Sunday & Monday
  Maun / Okavango Area of Moremi
 
The channels and waterways of the Delta are explored on a mokoro excursion, with lunch being enjoyed on an island. You have afternoon games drives under the changing colours of the African sunset. (BLD) 
 
Day 4/5 Tuesday & Wednesday
  Khwai Area of Moremi
 
After breakfast your camp will be moved to the Khwai flood plains while you and your guide continue to explore the ever-changing scenery of the reserve. Enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives, you uncover the secrets of this pristine wilderness area in search of the many species of animal and birdlife that make Moremi their home. (BLD) 
 
Day 6-8 Thursday to Saturday
  Savute Marsh & Chobe NP
 
You then continue overland to the Savute Marsh and Savute Channel, famous for its abundance of large predators. This amazing area and its waterholes are explored during your early morning and late afternoon game drives. Chobe is famous for its large heards of Elephant, the largest in Africa, as well as sunset cruises on the Chobe River. (BLD) 
 
Day 9
 Sunday
  Chobe NP / Livingstone
 
Today you are taken by road to Livingstone in Zambia. The remainder of your day is at leisure. You may wish to undertake an optional excursion to Victoria Falls or take an optional scenic flight over the falls. (B)  
 
Day 10
 Monday
  Depart Livingstone
 
This morning you are taken to Livingstone Airport where your Budget Chobe & Okavango Safari comes to an end. (B)
