Best of Morocco (8 days)8 days duration
On arrival at Casablanca you are met and taken for lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. You then take a short walk in the streets of the old Medina visiting various souks and the main market before returning to the airport for your flight to Marrakech. On arrival you are met and taken to your hotel for two nights. (L)
Today you visit the highlights of the ancient city of Marrakech. You visit Saadyines Tombs, Menara and Agdal Gardens, the Koutoubia and Bahia Palace. Later you experience the souks of Marrakech and Djemaa El Fna Square before enjoying dinner at a lively folklore show at a typical restaurant. (BD)
After breakfast you are driven through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, to Ouarzazate. Due to its striking landscape, situated in the souther Altas Mountains, Ouarzazate has been the set for many film productions. On arrival you are taken to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. (BD)
This morning you undertake a half day tour to visit the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco. When returning to Ouarzazate you visit the kasbahs at Tiffeltout and Taourirt. Later in the evening you are taken to the airport for your flight to Fez with a plane change in Casablanca. You arrive in Fez late tonight and are met and taken to your hotel for two nights. (B)
Fez is one of the four so-called ''imperial cities'', the others being Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat. It is seperated into three parts, Fez el Bali which is the old, walled city; Fez-Jdid or the new Fez and the Ville Nouvelle, the newest section of Fez created by the French. The Medina of Fez el Bali, the largest of the two medina's of Fez, is believed to be the world's largest contiguous car-free urban area.
A great day of sightseeing awaits! You visit the medieval Medina, the Medersas, the Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), as well as the Nejjarin Fountain. In the afternoon you are taken to explore the famous souks of Fez. (BD)
This morning you are driven to Meknes, visiting Moulay Idriss, a sacred Islamic town, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. On arrival in Meknes, also known as the ''Moroccan Versailles'' you are taken on a sightseeing tour during which you visit the beautiful old medina and the Medresse Bou Inania. (BD)
After breakfast you driven to Rabat. On arrival in the ''Imperial Garden City'' as Rabat is also known, you visit the Casbah of Oudayas, Hassan Tower, as well as the walls of Mechouar, which surround the Royal Palace. Following this interesting visit you drive down the coast to Casablanca. (BD)
After breakfast you tour ''The White City'', as Casablanca is also known. This includes the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche Boulevard. You are at leisure before being taken to the airport. Your tour ends here. (B)
